Happy One Month Anniversary!

It’s been one month since Chase and I spent the most amazing day together exchanging vows and enjoying the company of our family and friends.  To make this day even more special we received our photo disc from our Photographer, Scott Wang, in the mail this weekend!  I spent hours going through all the pictures, picking my favorites, and uploading them to a Flickr album for all our family and friends to enjoy. I’ve also received some wonderful pictures from our guests over the past month, and I couldn’t resist adding them to the album too!  Enjoy!!!

Engagement pictures sneak peek!

Chase and I FINALLY were able to squeeze in our engagement pictures last weekend!  We’re so excited to see the final shots, and just to tease us a little, our photographer, Scott Wang, posted a preview last week.

Check it out!

Our amazing florist

Somedays I have to pinch myself because planning a wedding can seem so much like a fairytale.  I am so glad I planned our wedding a year out from our engagement — it has given me more time to enjoy the process, swoon in the spotlight.  Just this past week I had one of those “fairytale moments” at our florist’s shop.

I am lucky enough to live right down the street from the most adorable flower shops I’ve ever seen, The Flower Post.  The owner, Jill Chatham, has an amazing eye and definitely “gets” the style I’ve envisioned for the wedding.  Just last week my mom, Billie Jayroe, and I met with Jill for a “flower demo.”  Jill explained it’s best for us to sit down together and play with options so she can truly get a feel for what flowers I like.  Never did I expect to be so intrigued by the beauty of flowers and how easily they transform a space and lighten your mood 🙂

As soon as we walked in we saw a gift Jill had made for me hanging on her door — a wooden sign that reads “Ali & Chase’s Wedding”.  It was love at first site!  Jill knew I wanted a vintage garden theme, and she completely captured that look and feel right off the bat.  As we began our meeting, she worked her magic and created mock-bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and more.  Every detail was just perfect.  Two hours flew by and before I knew it I had a visual of all the flowers that were going to be used at our wedding–and they were perfect!

I can’t wait to see Jill work her magic on our wedding day.  I’ll now be able to appreciate every detail she bring to the day.
